How to become a Dementia Friend

The Dementia Friends initiative is one that we are proud to be a part of, where people can take part in training that helps them better understand dementia, how it can affect people and how we can all offer support to make their lives less challenging.

What is the Dementia Friends initiative?

Living with a dementia can be an isolating experience for suffers, who often report that they feel that society does not understand their condition. That’s why the Alzheimer’s Society started the Dementia Friends initiative to inspire people to act, in both big and small ways, to better understand dementia and support the community.

As a leading provider of dementia care in the South West, our carers work daily to provide leading care and support to those with dementia and their families. We keep up to date with all the latest best practices to ensure that our clients continue to receive the best possible care and are proud to support the Dementia Friends initiative through our actions.
