As a Home Care Assistant, you do one of the most important jobs in the community today; you help other people continue to live life as they see fit and help them retain as much independence as possible.
Promoting independence and providing a dependent service is not easy, and skill, sensitivity, kindness and above all, humour, are required.

Whilst assisting your clients you may be required to:
- Undertake light domestic duties
- Prepare meals
- Help with dressing or undressing
- Address personal hygiene needs
- Meet mobility and medication needs
- Support a clients wish to stay at home
- Take them shopping
- Take them to appointments
- Keep your clients physically comfortable
- Be the face of ‘care in the community’
