What types of careers are available in the care industry? When considering a career with Burleys Home Care, you have several fulfilling roles to choose from:
As a Carer, your primary responsibility is to provide personal care, companionship, and support with daily living to our clients. You will build meaningful relationships with clients while observing changes in their well-being. This role focuses on being a friendly face and a compassionate listener, making it ideal for those starting their journey in homecare.
This is a great for age group, from somebody just starting on their career path or if you are later down that path just want to give something back to your community. You don’t need experience just a warm heart and we will support you all the way with the training you need.
In addition to Carer duties, Senior Carers lead a small team. With your experience, you will mentor new Carers, provide guidance, ad-hoc training, and perform quality checks to uphold our high standard of care.

We also offer respite care services to support primary care providers. Carers can choose to specialise in specific areas or provide a range of services for different clients
At Burleys Home Care, our carers have flexible options, including part-time, full-time, and live-in care roles.
A live-in Carer resides with a client full-time, but it doesn’t mean they work 24-hour shifts. Live-in Carers work agreed-upon hours and provide support whenever the clients need it the most.
Responsibilities in this role may include assisting clients with their daily routines—helping with washing, dressing, meal preparation, and accompanying them to appointments and engagements.
It’s important to note that live-in care roles differ from 24-hour care. For more details on 24 hour care, please refer to our 24-hour Support service, which involves multiple Carers sharing responsibilities.
