Overview of Job

The central focus of the role, is to write and producing the weekly rota for our team of carers.The software packages that we use are People Planner. Previous experience using them is not required, however you should be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

This could be a combined care work and coordinator role which can be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing the weekly rota for a team of carers working with clients in the community
  • Communicating with clients and staff to support the smooth running of our service
  • Supporting the Community Care Team with effective office administration, and efficient data recording and processing

Specific duties:

  • Take responsibility for writing the weekly rota for a team of carers
  • You will work flexibly to cover weekday, evening and weekend and Bank Holidays. This level of cover includes both administration and care calls.
  • You will be part of the on- call team, rota which is based on a 2 week rota
  • Be the first line of communication for any clients or staff who contact the office by phone, email or in person.
  • Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed for new clients & staff
  • Ensure that the folders for existing clients & staff are kept up-to-date
  • Ensure that computer records are up to date for clients and staff
  • Regularly taking part in training to improve job performance and increase management effectiveness

The Candidate:

This role will suit someone who is well organised and confident working with computers. You must have good “people-skills” when communicating face-to-face or over the telephone. Previous experience in the care profession is desirable but not essential.
