How much does live in care cost?
The cost of live in care depends on the level of service required for your individual circumstances. We will take the time to get to know you during a free consultation with you and your loved one(s) in order to plan the perfect care package.
Pricing also depends on whether you opt for managed or self-managed live in care. You can learn more about both of these options below.
Fully Managed or Self-Managed Live in Care?
There are two main types of live in care; fully managed or self-managed. The right option for you will depend on your requirements, finances, and how involved you would like your chosen care agency to be. At Burley’s Home Care, we can provide both options.
|Regulated by the CQC Set their Standard for delivery and quality Care||Unregulated by the CQC|
|Carer will have undergone written training from an accredited body such as Care Skills Academy for tasks such as administering medication to support someone with Demetria.||Carers are not obliged to undertake specialist, accredited training|

|Care agency is responsible for the care plan||Carer is managed by the customer|
|Carer is managed by the care service, with support from a care manager and local team||Carer is managed by the customer|
|Live in Carer is directly employed by the agency||Customer is responsible for carer pension contributions, National Insurance etc.|
|Care service will provide a new carer if the original is sick or unsuitable||Family or customer responsible for finding replacement carers if sick or unsuitable|
Fully managed live in care service
Fully managed live in care means that we will work with you and your loved one(s) from the start to create a custom live in care plan, providing you with extra peace of mind that your wishes are being met.
Once this care plan is established, we can then pair you with a live in carer that is the best match for you and your family. We will then continue to be on hand to manage any changes in circumstances, additional requests, and offer any other support you may need.
We maintain a high level of involvement, ensuring that you only receive the highest possible quality of care.
Introductory care service (self-managed)
If you opt for an introductory care service (self-managed), we will introduce you with a fully checked, approved self-employed carer.
This option is typically chosen by people who are able to manage their own care, or who have family who are willing to do this for them. Often, self-managed live in care clients are perhaps looking for companionship or smaller amounts of personal care, rather than more complex support.
Because our involvement in the ongoing care and responsibility for the carer will be limited, this option tends to be cheaper than fully managed live in care. A proportion of the weekly cost of live-in care is paid to us at Burley’s Home Care and covers the cost of the ongoing selection and introduction process.
The Burley’s approach to Live in Care
We pride ourselves on providing a truly individual service for each person we see, no matter their circumstances. Our fully trained and compassionate live in carers provide support with a range of activities; managing medication, helping with personal care, taking on domestic duties and assisting with day-to-day routines, as well as providing vital companionship. This means you can have complete peace of mind.
Our years of knowledge and experience are what makes the difference for our clients. Sometimes daily visits from carers are simply not enough, and you need extra service from people you can trust to ensure your loved one is safe and well looked after.
Our dedicated team of carers are fully trained and experienced and led by Registered Care Manager Natasha Choto, who has worked in the care industry for 18 years.
Natasha’s passion for delivering high quality care is clear to see, and she works directly with every client and their family to create a live in care plan perfectly suited to each person’s unique requirements, which is reviewed and adapted over time to ensure flexibility.

What are the benefits of live in care?
There are a number of benefits for choosing a live in care service from Burley's. Living at home with a compassionate live in carer means your loved ones are able to stay in control of their life for much longer than if they were to move into a residential home.
Live in care also means a lack of restriction on the support you receive. There are no short term visits, timed processes or limits to the care we can provide. By investing in live in care services from us you are choosing much more than a care plan, you are buying expertise from a team who will care for your loved one as if they were a member of the family. Someone who will make a cup of tea just the way they like it, watch their favourite shows and talk about their memories as well as monitor medication and help them to wash and dress each day.
Existing routines, privacy and lifestyle preferences will be listened to and respected by our friendly team. More benefits of live in care can include:
