At home palliative care

What to expect from palliative home care

Everyone’s end of life needs are different which is why Burley’s palliative care at home services are always tailored to the specific requirements of the individual and their family.

We take the time to get to know you and your loved ones in order to create a care plan that provides the right level of support and allows for the wishes of you and your loved ones to be at the centre of everything we do.

Our aim is always to ensure our clients have the highest quality of life possible, relieving symptoms, stress and upsetting emotions for both patients and their loved ones at this difficult time.

Palliative home care options

Your level of palliative home care will vary depending on your specific circumstances. At Burley’s Home Care, we offer the following levels of end of life support:

  • Home visits: Arranged at times to suit you, our regular home visits can range from short, half-hour appointments each week through to calling in several times a day or night.
  • Live-in care: Live in carers are perfect for those who wish to remain in their own home but need that extra level of support with everyday tasks such as domestic duties, personal tasks and managing medication.
  • Respite care: caring for a loved one is rewarding but it’s important to take care of yourself too. With this in mind, Burley’s respite care takes over looking after your loved one so you can rest and recuperate.
