Burley’s Home Care has been named as one of the top 20 home care groups in the UK for the third year running, as part of the homecare.co.uk Home Care Awards for 2020.
The awards are published every year and highlight the most recommended home care groups from across the UK, which are selected based on the experiences and reviews of customers and their carers or families.
Burley’s Home Care provides visiting or live-in carers for people with a range of conditions, and most frequently older people with dementia, who reside in the West New Forest, West Dorset and Salisbury areas.
Paul Burley, who set up the company with his wife Carly in 2009, said:
“We won the homecare.co.uk award in 2018 and 2019 and I’m delighted that we’ve been named as a top home care group again this year. We pride ourselves on delivering a truly personalised service for all the people we support and going the extra mile whatever their needs.
“The last few months have brought new challenges for all of us, and the way our staff have responded has been simply outstanding, it makes me incredibly proud. They have gone above and beyond to make sure our service users still get the daily support they need and have important social contact.
“Our reviews show how fantastic our staff are and what a positive impact they have on people’s lives. It’s a big step to bring carers into your home and we are privileged to be able to support and care for people at a time when they need it the most.”
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of homecare.co.uk, said:
“High quality home care is crucial as it enables people to stay living in their own homes and keep their independence, with their home care worker often becoming their friend and companion as well as their lifeline to the outside world.
“During the pandemic, home care providers have played a key role in caring for the elderly and vulnerable who may be self-isolating at home. They have been integral in providing care for people that are all too often forgotten about by society.”
Homecare.co.uk estimates that nearly 900,000 people in the UK receive care at home, and aims to make the process of choosing the right company easier with its awards process.
As well as looking at 18,000 reviews from those who are cared for and their families, the awards are also considered based on providers’ overall standar
