How Do I Arrange Respite Care?
Respite Frequently Asked Questions
Burley’s home care is a friendly, family run, award winning business born out of a passion to want to provide meaningful and sustained care for people in their own homes. The transition into care can be a difficult time and often overwhelming, if you think you can provide the care and compassion that our clients need then we want to hear from you.
Respite care at home provides short-term, professional support in the comfort of your own home. It allows family carers to take a well-earned break while having peace of mind their loved one receives high-quality care from trusted home carers.
Respite at home allows individuals to stay in familiar surroundings, maintain their daily routines, and avoid the stress of moving into a care home. Care home respite often involves temporary relocation, which can be unsettling—especially for those with dementia or complex care needs.
Anyone who normally receives support from a family member, friend or live-in carer can benefit from respite services. Respite care at home is suitable for all ages, including those living with dementia, disabilities, or anyone recovering from illness or recent surgery.
Short term respite care can be arranged for just a few hours, overnight stays, several days, or even a few weeks—flexible to your needs. At Burleys Home Care, we tailor every respite package to fit your family’s schedule for a time that is right for you.
Yes, respite at home is ideal for couples who wish to stay together while one or both receive home care. It avoids separating loved ones, which is often the case with respite in a residential care home. Our live in care services are appreciated by many couples who have been able to remain at home together instead of separating in care homes due to different illnesses and mobilities.
Costs vary depending on care needs and duration, but respite at home is often more affordable than a stay in a care home, especially when only short-term or part-time help is required. We provide clear pricing with no hidden fees. Reach out to our care team today for a no obligation quote for respite care.
Absolutely. Many families use private respite care services to ensure their loved one is in safe hands while they rest, travel or recharge. Our respite care team will continue to follow the care routine you follow to ensure minimal change and disruption.

At Burley’s Home Care family is at the heart of everything we do.
We are a family run, award winning business working with local families to care for their loved ones in their own homes. The business was set up by Paul and Carly (Burley is Paul and Carly’s surname) who wanted to provide more options for in-home care, and more focus on time being spent with clients as opposed to rushed clinical appointments which cover the basics but do little to ensure the emotional wellbeing of the client.
