Experience in Dementia Care at Home

A great many of our clients have dementia, and this means our staff have lots of experience in supporting people with the condition in their own home.

We know from first-hand experience that the smallest of gestures can be a huge help for people with dementia; extra patience when completing daily tasks, familiar faces when staff come to visit, having the same repeated conversations, and sticking to set routines and patterns.

Dementia Accreditations

We are proud to be part of the Dementia Friends initiative, which means our staff have been trained by experts from the Alzheimer’s Society in dementia awareness and support.

Clients who use our dementia care at home service may simply need support with day-to-day tasks around the home or have more complex needs requiring specialist care, and in all cases we are dedicated to developing a unique dementia home care plan that suits your individual needs.

Dementia home care plan & assessment

Every new client is personally welcomed by our Registered Care Manager Tasha, who goes through a thorough care plan and risk assessment to ensure we know exactly what a client needs and can deliver a personalised service. We also carry out regular reviews of the home help plan to monitor any change in our clients’ needs over time and to make sure our dementia care at home services are adjusted accordingly.

Some of the services our dementia home care includes are:

  • Support to live well, however dementia affects you and your family
  • Getting you out of bed
  • Personal care, such as washing, dressing and continence care

  • Assistance with medication
