Home Care

As a family orientated company, we build our care around the needs of our home care service users and treat them with the utmost dignity and respect.

Our home care services enable the people you love to stay as independent as possible for as long as it is feasible to do so. Our highly trained, specialist home carers will schedule visits to help with daily tasks that clients need support with, check their physical and mental wellbeing whilst also providing some much-loved companionship.

There are several ways we can support your loved one, from a 30-minute home care assistance visit, to longer visits several times a day. We also offer Live In Care for those clients who need that extra level of daily care and support. Our expert Care Managers will work with you and your loved one to build a personalised care plan that’s right for them.

When are home care services suitable?

Home care is appropriate in a whole range of situations. Moving into a care home or care facility is not always the best option for everyone, which is when home care services may be considered.

The beauty of our home care service is that we can provide as much or as little support as you and your loved one need. Even if assistance is only required with small tasks like cooking, cleaning or walking the dog, we are happy to oblige. Equally, if you or a loved one has more serious care needs and requires one of our carers to be available full-time, then we offer live in care for just this purpose.

We understand home care is just one of the many care options available, but do feel there are several occasions when it is the most suitable option, these include:

  • To allow elderly relatives, who are struggling with daily tasks to stay in their own home and live as independently as possible.
  • Support loved ones when they have been discharged from hospital as ‘medically fit’, but still need care.
  • Provide extra help and support to sufferers of dementia that choose to live at home.
  • Enable loved ones with learning disabilities to live rich, independent and fulfilled lives.
  • Provide compassionate palliative care.

What are the benefits of home care services?

An increasing number of people are choosing care at home over residential homes because it allows them to receive the support they need without needing to leave the community and home they are attached to. Other benefits of care at home include:

  • More convenient
  • No relocation
  • Remain in the comfort of your own home
  • Great choice for couples
  • Stay close to family and friends
  • Often more cost-effective
  • Preserve your independence

How are our home care services arranged?

We always take the time to get to know the needs of the individual beforehand so that they receive the home care services they deserve. At Burley’s Home Care, we understand that no two people are the same, which is why we will tailor an individual care plan that is unique to you.

Following the arrangement of a consultation, one of our experienced care supervisors will meet with you and your family to explain the care package required and to answer any questions . They can also discuss funding options with you and discover if you are eligible to receive benefit entitlement or social funding.

For an informal discussion with a friendly member of our team, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer any of your questions regarding care at home.
