When people ask what I do, I often say, “I help people stay at home, where they feel safest and most like themselves.” And really, that’s what Burleys Home Care is all about.
I’m Carly, and along with my husband Paul, I founded Burleys with a clear purpose: to provide care that feels personal, consistent, and trustworthy. I’ve worked in the care sector for over 15 years, and during that time, I’ve seen how the smallest details—like turning up on time, knowing how someone takes their tea, or remembering a family member’s name—can make the biggest difference.
Before we launched Burleys, we’d seen for ourselves how difficult it can be to find care that feels right. There are lots of services out there, but very few that feel truly person-centred and family-led. We wanted to change that—so in 2009, Burleys Home Care was born.
Today, I lead the service as Registered Manager. That means I oversee everything from care planning and training to quality assurance and compliance with CQC standards. But it’s not just paperwork—I’m involved in what matters most: making sure every person we support receives care that’s safe, consistent, and tailored to their life.
Whether it’s a couple of short visits a week or 24-hour care at home, we build care plans that truly reflect the individual. We don’t offer ‘one-size-fits-all’ support—because people aren’t all the same, and neither are their needs.

📖 “Is Burleys in Burley?” – A Common Question
We’re often asked if we’re based in the village of Burley. We’re not—“Burleys” is actually our family name. We’re based in Ringwood, and the business is run by our family. That personal connection is at the heart of everything we do.
When you call Burleys, you’re speaking to someone who knows your name, your story, and your care plan—not a call centre. That’s what makes us different.
