I’ve dedicated my career to supporting people to live with dignity and independence, and I’m proud to do that every day as Care Manager at Burleys Home Care.
I started in care as a junior carer in a residential setting and have worked my way through hands-on and leadership roles including domiciliary carer, care co-ordinator, and deputy manager. Today, I work closely with our Registered Manager to lead a professional, caring team that delivers safe, responsive, and high-quality home care.
Over the years, I’ve supported individuals with a wide range of needs—from elderly care and dementia, to physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and end-of-life care—which is an area I’m deeply passionate about. My qualifications include a Level 3 NVQ and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, which strengthen my ability to support staff, families, and the people we care for.
At Burleys, our care is fully aligned with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements. I help oversee care planning, ensure our support is person-centred and compliant, and continually review our standards through audits and feedback. But for me, care isn’t about ticking boxes—it’s about giving families real peace of mind and helping people live well, in the place they feel most at ease.
I chose to join Burleys because of its fantastic reputation and strong family values. The warmth, professionalism, and local knowledge this team brings to every client’s home is something I haven’t seen anywhere else. Outside of work, I find balance with my horse and the countryside—it’s a way to reflect and recharge, so I can bring clarity, patience, and calm to the work I do.
